CARNAVAL POP (POP)
Carnaval Drum (KWPN) x Finalite (SF)
Foaled: 2003
Height: 16hh
We bought Pop from his breeder in 2010 when I was just 13. It was quite a step up from a 14hh pony to a young 16hh warmblood and he wasn't quite the experienced schoolmaster we had originally planned to buy! Pop had show jumped previously but had not competed in eventing, dressage, cross country or been out hunting before I had him. However, he has a lovely willing attitude and has done everything asked of him - from hunting with the bloodhounds, to hacking out sensibly on his own, going to Pony Club rallies and camps (including a musical ride) and competing in eventing, dressage, show jumping, tetrathlon and qualifying for BRC, PC and BE national championships in a range of disciplines. 2013 was his first BE season and he finished in the top five in the three BE100u18 classes he contested and qualified for the BE National BE100u18 Championship at Weston Park. In 2014, he qualified for the BE100u18 championships again and also stepped up to BE Novice where he managed three top 10 placings. He is also qualified for the Badminton Grassroots Championships in May 2015.
His most notable results are:
3rd South of England BE Novice April 2015
6th BE100 Open Tweseldown March 2015
1st Pony Club Open Dengie Dressage Area Qualifier 2015
Team 1st NSEA 1.15m Show Jumping Championships (clear)

BY GEORGE IT'S BETTER (ALFIE)
Marsden St George x Better Than Yours
Foaled: 2001
Height: 17.1hh
We got Alfie on loan for my father to hunt in September 2011 - Alfie's previous loaner had him to show jump but sadly he didn't win a penny! He had not hunted before but took to it very well. As he wasn't doing much doing the summer months, in 2013 I decided to borrow him for Pony Club Tetrathlon to lighten Pop's workload. Although he jumped clear at his first Tet, he was rather sticky, so to gain further experience I took him to a Pony Club One Day Event being held over a local BE100 course and was amazed when he jumped a double clear and came third despite a dodgy dressage test. He then jumped clear around the Area Tetrathlon course and qualified me for the Pony Club Tetrathlon Championships. A week later we were due to take Pop to the Riding Club National Horse Trials Championships but he went lame the day we were due to depart, so we took Alfie instead to ensure we had a full team. He performed his normal giraffe impression in the dressage, but then jumped double clear round the 100 course to help the team to clinch third place and gained an individual tenth! He also jumped clear round the testing Pony Club National Intermediate Tetrathlon Championship course and then later in the year he also jumped a double clear in the South of England BE100, which was his first BE event, and another double clear at the Riding Club London & South East Novice Championships.
In 2014, Alfie took a bit of a back seat whilst I studied for my final A level exams, but then gained an eighth place in his first ever BE Novice and also jumped a fantastic clear around the Pony Club National Open Tetrathlon Championships course. I am hoping to do more on him in 2015, with the priority being to put some time into improving his dressage as this is the phase that currently lets him down.
Alfie's best results:
8th BE Novice - Firle Place Horse Trials 2014
15th with a clear XC within the time, Pony Club National Open Tetrathlon Championships 2014
1st Pony Club Area 11 Open Girls Tetrathlon Qualifier 2014
10th BRC London & South East Novice Horse Trials Championships
Clear XC, Pony Club National Intermediate Tetrathlon Championships 2013
10th, Junior 100, BRC National Horse Trials Championships 2014
3rd, Romney Marsh Pony Club Intermediate Horse Trials 2014

LIZZIE
Breeding unknown
Foaled: 1997
Height: 14hh
We bought Lizzie in 2007 and she has been an amazing pony for me. She introduced me to the wonderful world of hunting and we competed in a wide range of disciplines - showing, dressage, showjumping, eventing and tetrathlon. In 2009 she qualified me for my first national championships - the Pony Club Novice Dengie Dressage Championships and the British Riding Clubs Junior Dressage and Junior Novice Show Jumping Championships. The following year she qualified for the Dengie Novice Dressage Championships again, but this time came second in her arena, winning a lovely Thermatex rug and some other great prizes. I eventually got a bit big for her, which was when we bought Pop, but we couldn't bear to part with her, so my mum now rides her and one of my friends part loans her! I have borrowed her back a couple of times, once when Pop was found to be ineligible for the BRC Combined Training Qualifier so I took Lizzie instead and came second and the team qualified. Then at the Championships she was third invidually and the team won! Some of my most notable successes with her are:
3rd individually and part of winning team, BRC National Combined Championships 2012
6th Pony Club National Intermediate Dressage Championships 2011
2nd, Pony Club National Dengie Novice Dressage Championships 2010
Reserve Champion Show Hunter Pony, Edenbridge & Oxted Show 2009
Champion Best Child Rider, Edenbridge & Oxted Show 2008
